Vanessa Soto
Vanessa Soto is a model, actor, and director based out of New York City. A graduate of Vassar College with a BA in Drama and Women & Gender Studies, her training includes two semesters at The National Theater Institute at The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, work with The Moscow Art Theater School, as well as training with her company members with Anne Bogart’s SlTl Company and The Wooster Group. Vanessa has worked with Bated Breath Theatre, The lnternationalists, FullStop Collective, Collective Consciousness Theater, Bregamos Theater, The New Haven Theater Company, Elm Shakespeare Theatre Company, and has appeared on stage at Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven, CT as well as at The Boston Center for the Arts. ln Manhattan she was seen in the 2005 HOT! Festival at Dixon Place. Her directing credits include assisting director Dennis Reid’s production of Angels in America: Peristroika at the Stella Adler Conservatory Theater, assisting director Amanda Dehnert’s production of The Fantasticks at Long Wharf Theatre and assisting director Charles Newell’s production of Man of La Mancha also at Long Wharf Theatre. ln 2008, she produced VDAY New Haven and directed Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues. She also directed the play Real Women Have Curves with Bregamos Theater. When not in the theater, Vanessa spends time as a massage therapist and yoga instructor.
